We're gonna win this race
The MP got his first taste of the Old West this past weekend when we headed on up to Six Gun City in the White Mountains.
He LOVED helping the Sherriff capture and punish the bank robber. He even saw some bad guys when the Sherriff wasn’t looking and ran over to let her know which way they had gone (She did not hustle after them however much to his dismay). He gets his tattling abilities from me - I am so proud!!
The one thing I learned from our trip that my place as the best driver in the family remains firmly intact. In a bid to keep up with the hip, new amusement parks (or to offer some entertainment to parents who can only sit through the talking horse show so many times) Six Gun City has a Go Cart racing track. The boys had their own car and I was riding solo (happily going the speed limit and testing what I have learned on “Top Gear” about cornering – you SPEED UP into the corner). The boys took their racing a little too seriously and as I came around the corner near the Start/Finish line I noticed they were pulled off to the side. I assumed they had been bumping with their competitors (BFF Coopah and his dad) and were being warned about it but as I got closer the pit stop was clear:

How exactly he managed to drop a tire is anyone’s guess. The poor Go Kart employees had to walk the track to find the bolts that had been thrown from the car (you can go too fast around the corners apparently no matter what the 'Top Gear' boys say) causing the tire to come off.
Following that little adventure I decided a nice leisurely twirl with the paddle boats might be in order. Scott was banned from participating in that event.
