Kissing, Kissing: That's What I've been missing
When you are the Mom of the world’s cuddliest little boy you assume that the kisses and hugs will continue to flow in a never ending stream from the day he is born until the day that one of you departs the mortal coil (me first please).
Alas, this is the not the case: Around the beginning of the year the kisses were fewer and farther between leading up to what we have today.
I have to either hold him down and forcibly kiss him on the cheek all the while he is squealing that “THIS IS EMBARASSING” and “STOP KISSING ME” like I have cooties or is his MOM or something.
OR
Less awkward for everyone involved: our secret handshake.
Which contains 14 parts. And includes a Vulcan “live long and prosper” and a Top Gun “need for speed”.
And takes he and I less than 12 seconds to do.
I will take a secret handshake as long as I still get an occasional cuddle.
Fingers crossed that continues on for a while longer.
