Compound Words and Double Entendres

I give to you the latest entry into the Mud Puddle Lexicon:

Deuce – part deer part moose

While watching Shark Week the other evening (what is better than a cuddle from your best fella whilst watching sharks eat things?)
I was trying to give him an idea of how big a Caribou is, as Greenland Sharks can eat an entire Caribou (according to the Discovery Channel).

I explained it was bigger than a deer but smaller than a moose as he is familiar with both of those being a bona fide Maine Guide In Training.

A few seconds later after we had turned our attention back to the show he just says “Deuce”.
So I said “Pardon?”
So he said “Deuce” again.
The light dawned and I said “OH a Deer/Moose.”

He just grinned at me and we laughed and went back to the show.

Someday he will tell someone he is going to drop a Deuce and it will probably be one of those 'boy jokes', which I foresee will be his grown up humor a la his namesake Sherman.
